Salt Lake City, Utah (23 December 2015) – Employees at VISTA Staffing Solutions celebrated this holiday season by giving back to their local communities.
VISTA promotes a culture of giving back, engaging in philanthropic events year-round and during the holidays. VISTA had great success with multiple philanthropic events with efforts from their SLC headquarters and offices across the states.
“Giving selflessly has been a huge part of VISTA’s 2015. I’m proud of the charitable work our organization has contributed this year in all of our local communities” said Christian Rutherford, CEO of VISTA Staffing Solutions.
The Salt Lake City office held their 21st annual Holiday Boutique, a small craft fair and raffle, with a portion of proceeds donated to a local charity. The teams put together raffle items, and 100% of proceeds were also donated. This annual event raised $1,250 that was given to the Fisher House of SLC, a home that benefits the families of veterans being treated at the VA Hospital.
VISTA’s team in Atlanta, GA participated in a service project for veterans who are part of the Veterans Empowerment Organization (VEO). They assembled hundreds of bags filled with a variety of essential items from clothing, hand warmers, and personal care products. The team also gets together once a month to cook a homemade meal for over 50 veterans.
In Texas, the team at Whitaker Medical visited the Ronald McDonald house to serve lunch and spend time with the children and their families. They plan to return to the Ronald McDonald house on a quarterly basis, providing food and other activities.
