Envision Healthcare Donates Personal Protective Equipment, Provides Clinical Care

NASHVILLE, Tenn. –  August 4, 2020– Envision Healthcare continues to answer America’s call for medical care as COVID-19 cases spike in hot spots throughout the nation. As part of Envision’s commitment to supporting the communities it serves, the group recently donated 45,000 pieces of personal protective equipment (PPE) to the Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation, a health system in Arizona that serves the Navajo, Hopi and Southern Paiute tribes, as they continue to care for patients.

“As a national medical group, we will always answer the call to care,” said Jim Rechtin, President and CEO of Envision Healthcare. “We will continue to support communities like the Navajo Nation that have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19. The PPE we are providing will help save lives during this pandemic, as our teams work together on the front lines to care for patients and fight the spread of the virus.”

“We are grateful for the support and donation from Envision, which helps us continue providing patients safe, accessible, quality and culturally sensitive care as we fight this pandemic. We are a strong-willed and resilient community, and together, we will persevere,” said Lynette Bonar, CEO of Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation.

Envision is invested in the health and well-being of patients and clinicians. The medical group provides care to patients across the nation in communities large and small. Through its VISTA team, clinicians are supporting the Navajo Nation in treating patients.

“The appropriate PPE is essential in protecting patients and healthcare workers and helping control the spread of COVID-19,” said Christian Rutherford, CEO of VISTA Staffing Solutions. “We stand with the Navajo Nation and the surrounding communities in the fight against this virus.”
